Clear, Fair, and Responsible Printing

At Philament Forge, we take intellectual property and licensing seriously.

This page explains how licensing applies to printed products and Print-as-a-Service, and what we require from customers when submitting files.

Printed Products Supplied by Us

All printed products sold directly through our shop are:

• Designed by us or
• Produced under an appropriate licence from the original designer

When you purchase a printed product from us:

• You are buying a physical item only
• No digital files are included
• No rights to reproduce, resell, or distribute the design are granted

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, printed products are for personal use only.

Print as a Service (Customer-Supplied Files)

When using our Print-as-a-Service, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to have the model printed.

By submitting a file, you confirm that at least one of the following applies:

• You created the model yourself
• You own the rights to the model
• You hold a valid licence that permits physical reproduction
• The model is free to use and reproduce

We do not verify licences on your behalf.

What We Will Not Print

We reserve the right to refuse any request that involves:

• Copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos, or designs
• Designs intended to infringe intellectual property
• Items restricted by law or regulation
• Anything we believe may expose us to legal risk

This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorised fan art, branded characters, and protected logos.

Use of Uploaded Files

Files submitted for Print-as-a-Service are:

• Used only to fulfil your order
• Not shared, resold, or distributed
• Not retained longer than necessary to complete the order

We do not claim ownership of your files.

Commercial Use & Resale

Unless explicitly agreed in writing:

• Print-as-a-Service is provided for personal or internal use
• We do not grant permission for resale or mass production
• Commercial use may require proof of licensing

If you intend to sell printed items produced via our service, please contact us before ordering.

Responsibility & Liability

Philament Forge acts as a manufacturing service provider, not a rights holder for customer-submitted designs.

You accept full responsibility for:

• The legality of the file
• Any licensing obligations
• Any claims arising from unauthorised reproduction

We accept no liability for IP disputes resulting from customer-submitted content.

Digital Files (Future Notice)

At present, we do not sell digital design files.

If digital models are offered in the future:

• They will be subject to clearly defined licence terms
• Digital and physical products will remain distinct
• Licence types will be explicitly stated on product pages
